Lead and coordinate multi-country projects focused on green energy solutions and climate-resilient industrial systems across East Africa. The incumbent will manage project teams, oversee delivery of technical outputs, liaise with government counterparts, and ensure timely reporting to donors and UNIED headquarters.
Provide high-level policy advisory services to Member States on inclusive industrialization strategies, economic diversification, and industrial policy design. The role requires deep expertise in development economics and strong engagement with government officials, UN system partners, and international financial institutions.
Support the design, implementation, and quality assurance of monitoring and evaluation frameworks across UNIED's global programme portfolio. The specialist will develop results frameworks, conduct data analysis, prepare evaluation reports, and build M&E capacity among field teams and national counterparts.
Provide technical expertise and advisory support on agro-industrial value chain development, food systems transformation, and rural industrialization. The expert will work closely with national governments, farmer cooperatives, and private sector partners to design and implement scalable agro-processing initiatives.
Lead UNIED's digital communications strategy, managing social media channels, website content, email campaigns, and multimedia storytelling. The officer will amplify the organization's impact narratives, support major events and publications, and grow UNIED's global online presence.
Support the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of UNIED's programme budgets. The officer will assist in financial planning, donor reporting, and ensuring compliance with UN Financial Regulations and Rules. Experience in ERP systems (SAP) is highly desirable.
Support UNIED's policy research team in analysing industrial development trends, preparing background papers, and contributing to flagship publications. Ideal for graduate students or recent graduates in economics, development studies, or industrial policy. Duration: 6 months.
Assist UNIED's communications team in producing digital content — including articles, social media posts, infographics, and short video scripts — that showcase the organization's impact worldwide. Suitable for students or graduates in journalism, media, communications, or design. Duration: 6 months.
